Boutiq Switch V4
The V4 is the device that made the switching format popular. Two chambers at 1 gram each, a physical switch between them, dual mesh coils and an LED display showing battery, oil level and a blinker counter.
Worth knowing before you buy
Boutiq has moved on to the V5 and the V4 is being wound down, which is why several retailers now list it as discontinued or out of stock. What is in circulation is what remains. That is not a reason to avoid it, but it does mean a pairing you like may not be repeatable later, and it is the honest reason the price has come down.
V4 or V5
The V5 holds three strains in the same two grams and lets you run chambers together. If you are buying now and want the device that will still be around next year, buy the V5. Buy the V4 if there is a specific pairing here you want, or you prefer two larger chambers to three smaller ones.
The pairings
Ten sets, mostly built as complements rather than contrasts. Yuzu with Ponzu is the citrus one, Biscoff with Jelly Roll the dessert one, Sour Tangie with Grape Soda the one that spans a day. Each pairing is fixed to the device, so choose the pair rather than a single strain.
Hardware
USB-C rechargeable and draw activated. The dual mesh coil is the main reason the V4 still holds up: mesh gives a more even burn than a standard coil, which shows most in the second half of a tank when a cheaper device starts tasting scorched.
