Cartridge Against Sealed Device
The cartridge needs a 510 battery you already own, and in exchange it costs less per gram and lets you choose the voltage. That second point matters more than it sounds with live resin, where running cool preserves the aromatic content that justifies the price.
A sealed device removes both the decision and the up-front hardware cost. If you do not own a battery and do not want one, the 2G disposables are the better route.
Live Resin and Diamonds
The fill combines live resin with diamonds, THCa crystals reintroduced into terpene-rich sauce. That puts it at the potent end while keeping more flavor than a plain distillate cartridge would.
Diamonds run thicker than distillate, so the first draw of the day is often weak while the coil warms the oil. Hold the cartridge in a closed hand for a minute in cold weather rather than pulling harder; forcing thick oil into the airway is what causes gurgling.
Battery and Settings
Any 510 battery fits. A variable-voltage unit covering roughly 2.5V to 4V is worth having, and the lower half of that range is where this fill belongs. High settings scorch the terpenes and waste the reason for buying live resin in the first place.
Clean the battery contact occasionally with a cotton bud and a little isopropyl alcohol. Residue builds up and causes weak or intermittent connections that get misread as a faulty cartridge.

What 1000MG Gets You
One gram runs roughly 300 to 400 draws, which for most people is two to four weeks. Against the 2G disposables that is half the duration, but the cost per gram is lower once you own a battery, and you are not committed to a single flavor for two months.
That flexibility is the practical argument for cartridges generally. You can change profiles as often as you like and the hardware carries over.
Storage and Care
Upright, cool and out of direct light. On its side for long enough, oil creeps into the airway and produces the gurgling that gets blamed on faulty hardware; standing the cartridge mouthpiece-up for an hour clears most of it.
Diamonds are thicker than distillate and more prone to clogging. Warming the cartridge and taking a few gentle draws with the battery off will usually reopen a blocked airway. Where the blockage sits in the mouthpiece itself, a paperclip clears it, carefully, with the battery detached.
Who It Suits
Anyone who already runs a 510 battery and wants Fryd oil without the sealed-device premium. It is the cheapest route into the brand per gram and the only one that gives you control over how the oil is run.
For anyone without a battery, the up-front cost of buying one changes the maths and the 2G disposables become the more sensible entry point.
Choosing the Cart Over a Disposable
A Fryd cart makes sense in two situations: you already own a 510 battery, or you want to control the temperature the oil runs at. Outside those, the sealed 2G devices are simpler and only marginally more expensive per use.
The control argument is the stronger of the two with this fill. Diamonds carry a lot of aromatic content and lose it fastest to heat, so being able to run at the bottom of your battery’s range genuinely changes what you taste.
