Hometown Hero Vape: 2G and 5G THCa Disposables
Hometown Hero vape disposables come in two sizes, 2 grams and 5 grams, and both use the same base. According to Hometown Hero, that base is THCa liquid diamonds, Delta 8 THC and live resin, with no carrier liquids added.
The 2G is $20 and the 5G is $30 here. Hometown Hero’s own store listed them at $34.99 and $59.99 in May 2026.
Who makes Hometown Hero
Lukas Gilkey and Lewis Hamer founded Hometown Hero in Austin, Texas, on June 10, 2015, and moved into hemp after Texas legalized it in 2019. Gilkey is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. The company says it has donated part of its profits to veterans’ groups since its first year, starting with Disabled American Veterans, and lists awards from the High Times Hemp Cup on its site.
As of October 2026, Hometown Hero’s own store shows no disposables in stock. Its May 2026 product pages carried a notice that Delta 8 sales in Texas would end on May 28.
What is in a Hometown Hero THCa vape
- 2G: about 1,200 puffs, slim pen sold in a screw-top tube
- 5G: about 3,000 puffs, compact box device with an oil window
- Blend: THCa liquid diamonds, Delta 8 THC and live resin
- Carrier liquids: none, per Hometown Hero
- Charging: USB-C on both sizes
- 2G controls: five presses on or off, two presses to preheat
Hometown Hero describes the order of the blend this way: THCa leads on potency, Delta 8 adds body, and the live resin carries the strain’s terpenes.
Hometown Hero flavors and strains
2G, $20: Banana Cream (indica), Classic Cola (indica), Cereal Milk (hybrid), Fresh Melon (sativa), Smooth Caramel (sativa).
5G, $30: G13 (indica), White Rhino (indica), Pink Panther (sativa), Amnesia Haze (sativa).
The 2G line is named for flavors, each paired with an indica, sativa or hybrid live resin. The 5G line is named for strains. Hometown Hero describes G13 as piney and woody, White Rhino as woody and earthy, Pink Panther as fruity with peach and pear, and Amnesia Haze as lemon and lime.
How to use it
On the 2G, press the button five times to turn it on, press twice to run a short preheat that helps prevent clogging, then hold the button for each puff. Both sizes charge over USB-C, so you can finish the oil instead of losing it to a dead battery. Start with one short puff and wait several minutes, because the blend is strong.
Hometown Hero reviews and value
Hometown Hero’s own pages showed 124 reviews on the Fresh Melon 2G and 189 on the G13 5G as of May 2026. At our prices, the 2G works out to $10 per gram and the 5G to $6 per gram, so the 5G is the better buy if you already know the blend suits you.
For a single-cannabinoid option, the TribeTokes THCa disposable holds 1g of THCa live resin with no Delta 8. The Boutiq Switch V6 3G is the closest multi-gram alternative. More all-in-ones are on our cannabis disposables page.
FAQ
Is a Hometown Hero vape THC or THCa?
Both. The blend leads with THCa liquid diamonds and adds Delta 8 THC. THCa converts to delta-9 THC when heated, so these vapes are intoxicating.
Should I get the 2G or the 5G?
The 2G is the smaller, cheaper way to try a flavor. The 5G holds more than twice the oil for $10 more and costs less per gram.
Is it legal?
Hometown Hero vapes are sold as hemp under the 2018 Farm Bill’s 0.3% delta-9 THC limit. Congress has voted to redefine hemp by total THC content, and as of October 14, 2026 that change is scheduled to take effect on December 11, 2026. Several states, including Texas, restrict Delta 8 or THCa. Check your state’s rules before ordering. For adults 21 and over only.
