What are Wombat True Albino Teacher mushrooms?
Wombat True Albino Teacher (TAT) is a Psilocybe cubensis strain with ghost-white mushrooms and strong effects. It’s an albino offshoot of Golden Teacher, so it has no pigment at all.

Wombat True Albino Teacher started as a rare genetic mutation of Golden Teacher. The original True Albino Teacher (TAT) line began with a cultivator named Jik Fibs, who found a cluster of albino mushrooms in a Golden Teacher grow.
He isolated and cloned those albino specimens and, after nearly a year, stabilized a fully albino strain of Psilocybe cubensis. Dave Wombat later refined those genetics further.
The result is Wombat TAT, often called Wombat TAT Classic: an albino isolate of Golden Teacher from the same parent genetics as the original TAT. Wombat TAT Cultivation
Wombat True Albino Teacher is moderately hard to grow. It asks more than regular Golden Teacher but is very doable for growers with some experience. Like other P. cubensis it grows on many substrates, though a lot of cultivators prefer nutrient-rich grains like rye berries.
Growers starting from spores usually use spore swabs or liquid cultures instead of prints, because TAT spores are white and nearly invisible in liquid.
Colonization needs steady warmth, around 27°C (80°F), and may run a little slower than with non-albino strains. The mycelium is still strong and will fully colonize with patience and clean technique.
Fruiting takes more care. Keep humidity high (around 90% or more) with good fresh air exchange, and don’t let it get too dry, since albino fruits are more sensitive to moisture. Gentle indirect light on a 12-hour cycle helps with pinning.
Wombat TAT produces several flushes of medium-sized mushrooms with fairly round, flat caps. Yields are similar to many standard cubensis strains. Colorless spores make prints hard to collect, so many growers keep the strain going with live mycelium or by cloning healthy specimens. An intermediate grower who dials in conditions can do well with it.
Wombat TAT Dosage
Dosing dried Wombat True Albino Teacher is similar to any potent P. cubensis, but it can run a bit stronger than a typical cubensis or a standard Golden Teacher at the same dose. General ranges:
- Microdose: about 0.1 to 0.3 grams (very subtle, sub-perceptual)
- Light: about 0.25 to 1 gram (mild effects, suited to beginners)
- Moderate: about 1 to 2.5 grams (clear visuals and euphoria)
- Strong: about 2.5 to 5 grams (intense, heavy visuals and deep introspection)
- Heavy: 5 grams and up (extremely powerful, “heroic” dose territory)
